Nearly 300 years ago, 100 families left Belgium for a new life in Louisiana, settling near New Orleans. Their ship, La Loire, is sometimes called the Louisiana Mayflower. This Belgian-style IPA is a tribute to those settlers. Made with pale, pilsner, and wheat malts, it is hopped and dry hopped with German Hallertau Blanc hops for a pleasant bitterness and the aroma of grapes and fruit. Belgian yeast adds to the fruity aroma.
30 years ago Abita Brewing launched the craft beer revolution in Louisiana. For three decades, Abita has proudly brewed full-flavored ales and lagers for the way we love to live in Louisiana.
