This beer is a rare treat!
The Imperial Porter was transferred into four Heaven Hill bourbon barrels in October 2014. In May of 2015, we added 55 pounds of fresh sweet cherries amongst the four barrels. Then in November 2015, we blended all four barrels into stainless and decided 55 pounds wasn’t enough. So we added 40 more pounds of tart cherries and let it age on the cherries for three more months!
The Cherry Porter has a great cherry aroma and well-rounded flavor of cherries and rich malt character. The ABV is 8.5% and won’t last long.
