Black Belle™ is a collaborative effort between Blackstone Brewing Company® and Nelson’s Green Brier™ Distillery; makers of Belle Meade Bourbon™. Black Belle™ is an Imperial Stout that we infused with cocao nibs and then aged in bourbon barrels for over 7 months. This beer is smooth and sweet with definite notes of bourbon, oak and dark chocolate.
Blackstone Brewing Company® is locally owned and is the oldest operating brewery in Nashville. Stephanie Weins and Kent Taylor opened Blackstone in 1994 as a brewpub. In 2011 they expanded their brewing operations with the building of a “state of the art” brewing and bottling facility.
Nelson’s Green Brier™ Distillery is locally owned and operated by Andy and Charlie Nelson. The brothers have revived their great-great-great grandfather's Nashville based distillery business which once had national and international distribution from the 1870s through 1909.
