Fresh for the holidays, and named after our favorite (and sure to be inebriated reindeer), we cooked up a batch of IPA but with a twist. Consider this the festivus of beers. Following our tradition of Belgian Christmas beers, we created an amber colored IPA with a bitter backbone and smooth finish. Using a modest dry hop of NZ Motueka (a Belgian Saaz cross-breed), the mellow hop character perfectly harmonizes with a delicate Belgian yeast character thanks to the Westmalle strain (of Little Sumpin’ Wild lore).
The malt bill uses Pale Malt, Crystal, and Dextrine to allow the yeast to come through; and at 8%, it packs a punch. Its really the perfect beer to sip on while you snuggle up in a Forever Lazy and chill by the fireplace.
