
This Ale could be compared to an Imperial/Double Red. It is fermented with a proprietary ale yeast strain that provides a moderate fruity-ester aroma and slight flavor. This deep, copper toned ale is characterized by its balanced hop bitterness and spicy noble hop flavors. The kettle hopping is derived from German Hersbrucker & American Cascade. The spicy overtones are complemented by a generous portion of whole-leaf hops added to the fermenter and American Cascade hops added to the aging tank.
The medium body and smooth yet crisp caramel flavors are created by a domestic malt bill of 2-Row, Caramel, Chocolate, and other specialty malts.
