Reserve Series This Belgian-style Oud Bruin (or “old brown”) is brewed to an extremely high gravity before being aged to mellow out the intensity. Almost wine-like in character, the addition of tart Montmorency cherries from northern Michigan adds a light sweetness and fruity notes that nicely balance the acidic tartness and funky Brett-notes of the base beer. Bright, spritzy carbonation enhances the fruit and funk, and leads to a long, satisfying finish.
