Donkere Vader in Dutch means "Dark Father", this beer was created by a collaboration with the Canadian-born Dutch friend Derek Walsh. Derek is a judge of international beers, has great knowledge and a very analytical approach; We know each other for several years and the name of the beer is in a sense a reference to him, my "dark father". Several years ago I proposed to make a beer together, our common goal was to be brewed a Black IPA that was not dominated by the toast of malti (as unfortunately often felt in most of the examples on the market) to allow the hops to unleash all their freshness in freedom. Proudly brassata with an implied attraction to the dark side of hops.
