Jopen Extra Stout is a typical Dutch stout. The last few Haarlem breweries still operational in the early 1900’s all brewed an extra stout. Jopen has breathed new life into this beer variety. Dutch stout contains between 5% and 6% alcohol by volume. In terms of its character, dry stout is also known as the espresso of beers because of its roasted bitter flavour, similar to that of coffee and cocoa. It creates an extraordinary flavour sensation.
