A traditional Irish Red Ale is an exploration in malt – from the dark, roasted barley we use to bring a dark color to the heavy dose of Melanoidin that gives Irish Red its classic red hue. We pair that malty body with our European yeast to bring out those malty notes – coffee, raisin and just a touch of toffee sweetness – all balanced with the apple and pear notes from our old school yeast. It’s a delight and an easy drink, perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or for every day.
