Smoked beer is probably not going to be everyone’s idea of fun. This wheat beer is made with German smoked malt and dark wheat malts. It’s not a beer for quaffing pints and pints of but it does have it’s place when it comes to food pairing. We love to drink Freimann’s with a of plate cold meat and cheese.
The illustration Matt Jeffs created for the Freimann’s label is inspired by Weimar culture that flourished in Germany in the 1920’s. It references German Expressionist films such as Metropolis and The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. It suits the dark, smoky, Germanic beer perfectly. Nice work Matt.
