Frueh Bock (pron. "Froo Bock") - Literally "Early" Bock, Frueh is also short for Fruehling which is the German word for Spring. This deep golden Bock lager is malty sweet with a touch of fruity, almost citrusy notes that linger on the palate. And although this Helles Bock/Maibock-style beer has a higher alcohol content, it is not at all obvious to the taste. More than a month of lagering results in a very smooth character. Frueh is the perfect beer for those transitional days where the cold winds of winter are still battling it out with the warm breezes of spring.
