When the Vikings invaded what’s now Ireland, they needed a lot of liquid courage for all that pillaging and plundering. The ales they found on their monastery raids were a little heavy for marathon battles, so they took matters into their own hands and got busy brewing battle-friendly ales. The days of Viking invasions may be over, but we still love traditional dark red ales worthy of those adventurous Norsemen. That’s why our own Irish red ale is full of flavor, with a smooth finish that’s easy on the palate.
