My father and his best friend were hell-raisers as teenagers in the 50's. My Dad's friend Fred stole his father's car, evaded the police for some time on country roads, eventually irritated them to the point of drawing their gunfire, ultimately rolled the car and ended up in the hospital in a body cast. As my Dad sat and talked with him about the craziness of his actions and asked him if his tomfoolery was worth it all, Fred gave him a wry grin and said "You can't put a pricetag on a Good Time!" Good Time Wheat Ale is an American Wheat brewed with 45% wheat malt and a neutral west coast yeast. However we ferment the product at a slightly warmer temperature to bring out some of the fruity esters. This leaves a hint of the traditional hefeweizen flavors, although this beer is not a hefe, nor was it ever intended to be one. This is a much cleaner, milder drinking beer. You'll still get the great wheat backbone and finish and a hint of those esters without the heavier banana and clove flavors associated with a true hefeweizen.
