Fregatten Jylland is brewed commissioned by the museum in Ebeltoft of the same name. It is a powerful cousin of 8% alcohol, brewed with lager malt, münchenermalt, caramel malt and dark malt, added a dash of apple juice and spiced with a decent fist full of aroma hops. The taste is best described as a "winter-warmer", something that warms the cold times. There is sweetness from the strong beer, a little acid from apples to freshen up, and bitterness from the hops, which are long in the mouth. Enjoy with a heavy casserole, for example the game and mushrooms, or drink it as a seaman diet with a glass of dark rum! Fregatten Jylland should be enjoyed by approximately 10-12 degrees to enjoy all the exciting flavors. It will mature over time, hop bitterness will decrease and the underlying sweetness will become more dominant. Frigate Jylland available filtered in 60 cl bottle. Shelf life 3 years from the bottling date.
