Brewed with a straight pale-ale backbone which leaves a very balanced malt foundation, this beer is unlike West-Coast IPAs that use high alpha hops to annihilate your taste-buds with immediate and long-lasting bitterness, we use lower alpha and some traditional west-coast hops to build a mild citrus flavor profile and aroma that even imparts some sweet character in the finish.
This leaves the beer lost between an English style IPA with a malty backbone and a West Coast IPA with a huge citrus hops nose. Somehow though, it all seems to work pretty well for more people than not. Come try it out and see if you're one of the folks who loves it or hates it.
