This beer style originates in Köln, Germany and is very well known for being lighter bodied, slightly hazy, crisp and refreshing. It is fermented with an ale yeast that acts similar to a lager yeast and performs well in lower temperatures. To further enhance the crisp qualities imparted by this unique yeast, we use wheat as part of the grain bill and the slightly spicy and crisp German Tetnang hops. All in all an easy drinking, very thirst quenching beer, perfect for a day in the sun or paired with a light flavored fish.
