This is a Belgian Blonde Ale and a strong one at that. Our recipe incorporates plenty of Belgian 2 row malt and cane sugar to maximize the fermentables for the Belgian Abbey style yeast which yields an ABV above 8%, if you're not careful you'll end up like Superman when he's around a radioactive piece of his former home! BJCP guidelines describe this style as a moderate-strength golden ale that has a subtle Belgian complexity, slightly sweet flavor, and dry finish. As for the origin of the name, if you know or get a chance to meet the Brewmaster's wife, Kristie, ask her, but the name pretty much says it all, Kristie's Kryptonite!
