Incorporating tones of a flemish brown with the intricate subtleties of a flemish red as well as the flavors of a kriek lambic, La Pienture integrates aspects of the most notable old world wild beers. Characterized out of respect rather than definition, this American wild ale encompasses all the traditional aspects of a wild beer: must, earthiness, funk, "barnyard" and of course, sour. In addition, this ale blends in a subtle sweetness without the use of pasteurization. To the best of our knowledge, this is the world's first commercially available imperial, nitrogenated wild ale.
