Sometimes called "Hefeweissbier", this is the famous Bavarian ale served in tall, vase-shaped glasses. "Weizen" refers to the malted wheat that is used to brew this beer. "Hefe" means yeast and points out that the beer is unfiltered and cloudy, served in its natural state. Our classic Hefeweizen has the traditional clove and banana taste, produced by specific esters during its warm fermentation.
