World Beer Cup: American-Belgo-Style Ale, Gold Medal
Heinold's First and Last Chance Saloon in Oakland CA came to prominence when Jack London spent his daysthere drinking and penning notes for "Call of the Wild." It was a gathering spot for fisherman and adventurers, and was the Last Chance to grab a beer before a long voyage. This tribute to Jack is hopped with Nugget, Warrior and Chinook and dry-hopped with Amarillo for aromas of orange and spices.
