Mellifera is a hazy blonde beer brewed with 30 kilos of local honey added to the boil followed by a lactic fermentation. The nose is reminiscent of a lemony mead and has a subtle hint of honey candy. There is a floral side to the flavor, thus confirming unequivocally that sweetness can sometimes express itself through colorful personality.
