Tasting notes: Aroma is of malt with traditional hops in the background. Flavor starts with a slightly toasty malt sweetness, followed by a mild fruitiness from the yeast (strawberry) then a firm, but not overwhelming or harsh hop flavor. The hop character of this beer is due primarily to early hopping giving it a full hop flavor without a strong hop aroma. The finish of this beer is slightly sweet, but leaves the palate clean.
This session beer is full-flavored without being high alcohol or dominated by hops. The intent was to let all the ingredients of the beer come through in the flavor and produce a complex brew that is still easy to drink.
