RLD completes the trifecta of our foray into the dry Trappist yeast. The brew’s reddish color is derived from addition of roasted caramel malts and its alcohol sweetness from the late addition of 200 lbs of wildflower honey. This is the strongest of the three beers and the honey sweetness lingers more than its nipelly cousin, giving more depth and some fig fruitiness. Should you try all three beers of the series late in the evening, you may find yourself window shopping down the wrong street in Amsterdam.
