This brett-infused, barrel-aged, farmhouse ale is really something special. It has spent the last six months in chardonnay and pinot noir barrels. Six months. Have you ever sat for 4320 hours straight doing the exact same thing? The Vannie Hout has. Day and night. Summer, autumn and winter. It has toiled away at becoming awesome, and let me tell you friends, awesome it has become. “I WANT ALL OF THE BOTTLES!” That’s the email I sent. Give them to me. Plug that funky farmhouse ale into my veins and let me die a happy man. Fortunately for you, I was told if I wanted a bottle I’d have to stand in line with everyone else. “WHY?!” Because we only have 660 bottles. That’s why. Well, to be honest . . . we had another six but a sharply (if not a bit darkly) dressed gentleman showed up at the brewery one morning and requested them. We couldn’t say no, and we’d rather leave it at that.
