The Savage comes on strong and sudden with pronounced oakiness from prolonged aging in used wine barrels.
That woodiness coalesces beautifully with wine tannins and the stonefruit character of sour cherries to produce a deep brown quaff akin to a Flanders-style ale with a delicate balsamic tartness and hint of spice.
