When we decided to brew Local Coffee Stout with our neighbors at Merit Roasting, we immediately took measures to secure a fleet of sweet Kentucky Bourbon barrels to age the results of our collaboration. Mature American oak adds depth and complexity, creating a subtle shift in flavor and overall perception. Vanilla, resin, char and warmth resonate with the nutty coffee and roast character,presenting a fresh, yet familiar palette of flavors for the palate to peruse. Slàinte!
