Normally, the threat of a Knuckle Sammich is a bad thing. Not anymore! Our Knuckle Sammich IPA is a brash, full frontal assault upon your delicate little tastebuds! The brewers at Wort Hog needed a firm malt foundation to ballast the onslaught of hops that make up this “full sprint, face plant into a hop yard” of a beer. So, we started off with a blend of Pilsen and Pale Ale base malts and add to it some Wheat, Carastan and Munich malts. But, let’s be honest. As far as this beer goes…Malt, shmalt! The star of THIS show is the HOPS. Those glorious green flavor grenades! We utilize a blend of 7 American hops from the Pacific Northwest including Chinook, Citra, Falconer’s Flight 7 C’s, Centennial, Zeus, Cascade and ElDorado. To the tune of over 2 pounds per barrel! “Are you SERIOUS?” you ask. Well hells yeah we’re serious!!! These bitter hop overloards command you to bow down at the altar of aroma! And you will obey. YOU. WILL. OBEY! Knuckle Sammich IPA is a tongue punch! Knuckle Sammich is what Willis was talkin’ ‘bout! Knuckle Sammich goes to 11. This-a-here IPA will punch you right in the mouth… with hops!
