The Romans were famous in their diets in for beer noting that beer was a drink for barbarians. The Roman Emperor Julian even composed a poem about the amazing qualities of wine while also stating that beer smelled like goat. To celebrate the Roman dislike towards beer, we blended a sour ale that was aged in fine Gaulish (French) wine barrels & on Chambourcin (also French) grape skins that is sure to have been better than the traditional Pasca that the legionnaires drank (a field drink made from sour wine, water, & a touch of vinegar)
