Doc Perdue's was Blyth's veterinarian in the late 1880's who had a penchant for collecting exotic animals and a love of drink. When once cut off for being over served at the local saloon, he marched home and returned with a bobcat on a leash, threatening to let it loose if he didn't get another drink. Doc Perdue's Bobcat is a West Coast Red Ale - taking inspiration both from our home in Blyth on Ontario's West Coast, and the West Coast Pale Ales that have set the precedent for hoppy refreshing ales for the Craft Beer world. This beer is ruby red with just over-balanced bitterness, and huge piney, zesty and fresh hop aromas and flavours.
