The latest of our collaborative efforts hits the keg wall. Northern Monk journeyed over to Wales at the end of April, to brew a very special beer with our good friends at Celt Brewery. For this beer, we decided to go back to our heritage and make something that was traditionally brewed in monasteries centuries ago - a 'Braggot'. Braggots were traditionally enjoyed by monks and Celts alike. Somewhere between an ale and a mead, we felt this was the perfect style of beer to add to our existing range at Northern Monk. Our Double Braggot, 'The Clas', is set to weigh in at 7.2% and promises to be deliciously sweet and spicy.
