Named after the American River in the pre-prohibition style that inspires this beer. It is a clean, crisp, brilliantly clear lager the packs much more flavor than you might expect. Soft malt and slight sweetness in the delicate aroma mingle with the subtle, floral hops. A high percentage of corn lends to a perception of sweetness and a respectable level of hop bitterness and flavor that harken back to pre-prohibition days. This is a substantial Pilsner that at the same time is approachable and flavorful.
