Maybe we are the first to brew this rare type of beer? Normally stout is brewed from barley malt, but Sort Hvede is brewed with over 50% wheat malt. Sort Hvede is more rounded and soft - and not as sharp as normal stout. Sort Hvede is entirely its own.
Sort Hvede is brewed with dark malts, including a smoked malt, which give the beer a nice smoky and liquorice-like flavor. The beer smells slightly of coffee and light notes of dark chocolate. Sort Hvede gives a good mouthfeel and has a dark, creamy foam. Enjoy it in front of the fireplace on a stormy autumn day after a long walk in the woods - or for heavy stews, venison meat or blue cheeses.
Server the beer cellar cold in a tall glass, so flavor and foam is allowed to come forward. Shake the last 10-15 ml before decanting.
