In Abbey Ale from Meer, in the northern part of Belgium, pours a hazy nut brown colour with a nice beige head and good lacework. The taste gives huge amounts of cinnamon, molasses, plums, carrot, fennel and yeast. Medium to full bodied, low bitterness with a sweet finish and lingering hints of yeast and plums. A sophisticated beer with good spicy / fruity components.
