Named after Pedanius Dioscorides (40 AD - 90 AD), a noted Ancient Greek physician and botanist, this Imperial Stout was brewed with black caraway seeds and aged it in rye whiskey barrels.Upon pouring, you will be greeted with aromas of dark chocolate, plums and molasses; all complemented by the herbaceous spiciness of caraway seeds. Flavors of licorice, treacle and light smokiness will greet your tongue and are rounded out by vanilla and woody notes from the rye whiskey barrels.
