Rakau hops are described as “the whole orchard.” Specific aroma descriptors include stone fruit and fig characteristics; fresh orchard fruits, specifically apricot with some resinous pine needle character. A smaller portion of Pacifica hops which have an orange marmalade character were also used both for aroma, flavor and bittering. Apricot juice was added to the fermentor.
