Alaskan Imperial Oatmeal Stout is a big interpretation of one of our most-loved historic beers, Oatmeal Stout. This bigger and bolder version is dark brown with a tan foam head. The flavor and aroma are reminiscent of the Oatmeal Stout — malt-dominated with robust notes of roasted coffee, chocolate, and caramel — but the warming alcohol character is also apparent. Light fruit notes balance the rich malt. This full-bodied beer has a smooth, creamy texture that comes from the hefty malt build and from a generous helping of oats. As promised when it came out of our year-long lineup, the Oatmeal Stout is not gone forever, and we hope this tribute to that stout warms your chilly Alaskan winter.
