
This is a Belgian-style strong golden ale braced with hops to balance the fruity yeast character of pear, apple and light banana. Half the batch was aged in Rye Whiskey barrels for 4 months to soak up the spiciness of the spirit-soaked charred oak. The batch was recombined prior to packaging, primed and re-fermented in the bottle, creating an ale with flavors of fruit compote.
