The name refers to the Mosaic Hops used in the beer. A “tesserae” is a small block of stone, tile, glass, or other material used in the construction of a mosaic. This beer’s name is another way that we celebrate the beauty of small unassuming sources of large scale impact (our definition of a trimtab). Mosaic hops unfold layers of tropical and herbaceous flavors and aromas that make Tesserae one of our most popular beers.
