Bad Seeds is a collaboration with our friend Jamie Floyd and Ninkasi Brewing from Eugene, Oregon as well as our pals Brielle and Scott Clark of Dane small batch coffee roasters. We use over 2lbs per barrel of 100% Canadian hemp seeds in the mash and hemp flour & lactose in the whirlpool. Fermented with London Ale yeast and the result is a sweet and pleasantly nutty(reminiscent of walnut/macadamia) base to which we added 1lb per barrel of a Mexican Oaxacan coffee beans (full city roast) from our homies at Dane, along with .5lb’s per barrel of fresh cacao nibs and just a few fresh vanilla beans all post fermentation. Bad Seeds is deep golden with a toasty, nutty, chocolatey, roast aroma with a sweet & smooth finish. With the underlying power of the superfood hemp, this beer makes for a rather mind-blowing experience with shades of macadamia nut coffee. Full decadence in each glass so come to try!
