Crafted by Virginia homebrewer, Rodger Thurlow, Hop’Easter won the Gold Medal at Starr Hill’s 2017 IPA JamBEERee Homebrew Competition. This batch was brewed on Starr Hill’s full-scale production system, using a near replication of Thurlow’s original recipe, to bring his IPA to life. Massive amounts of dry-hopping before fermentation accentuates hop aroma and flavor without adding bitterness, as compared to regular India Pale Ales. This hazy, juicy NE-style IPA is loaded with tropical fruits like pineapple, mango, and passion fruit. The malts rounds out the experience with a smooth mouthfeel that really emphasizes the hops.
