A rich chocolate stout with a hint of coconut. The coconut essence livens up as the beer warms up to room temperature, adding to the experience. Zusammen, a black ale, was brewed with U.S. veterans affiliated with the Black Ale Project, Irreverent Warriors and Guardians of the Purple Heart. The brew day was planned as part of the Black Ale Project [blackaleproject.org], which has raised about $100,000 for 30 different veterans’ organizations. Their motto: BUY A BEER, HELP A VETERAN Zusammen is a German word, meaning “together.” Together we’ve served. Together we’ve witnessed how real veteran suicide is and what it does to their friends and family. Together we can prevent veteran suicide. Portion of the proceeds from the sale of this beer will be donated to Guardians of the Purple Heart.
