A Belgian-styled, Chocolate — Pepper — Stout. The name says it all, no regrets here taking a stout, brewing it with just the right amount of Pippali (Piper longum) in the kettle, fermenting with Belgian ale yeast that produced a pepper ester & dry-nibbed in the serving tank with cacao! A dark chocolate & ginger aroma fills the nose before you take a sip. Flavors of “roast barley” are then subdued with a pepper “heat” which stands out with dry chocolate & expresso notes that linger on the finish.
