Ryed Or D'IPA

In a Rye'd or Die world you are either all in or you're all out. With this beer we are all in. We start with an extreme amount of Rye Malt and then back that up with an explosive amount of PNW hops. Your first instinct may be to shy away but in this world we only live to get radical.

Ryeght Angle IPA

Our take on the IPA has everything you would find in a standard IPA, plus hints of chocolate and rye malts with a healthy addition of flaked rye. A generous hop schedule containing Amarillo, Nugget and Styrian Goldings boasts 90 IBUs, which provides plenty of floral and citrus aromas to compliment the rye. To finish it off we dry hop with Amarillo for a smooth and rich mouthfeel.

Ryelander

Ryelander is a beer that’s easy to wrap your head around: it’s a big, spicy, hoppy Imperial IPA. It ravages taste buds, decimates olfactory receptors, and leaves even the heartiest neuron begging for mercy. It is brewed from a blend of pale, crystal, and rye malts (with just a touch of roasted barley for color). We add many pounds of hops to the boil, and many more directly to the fermentation vessel. The result is an undoubtedly aggressive beer, but like its namesake, it shows a surprising depth and complexity.

One of the most approachable ales produced by Cycle Brewing is this classic Irish Red ale with all of its caramel malt and gentle hopping but with the added nuance of rye. The rye comes across in the aroma as well as the flavor with a mild spice character and lends a more full flavor to an already malty style. RYEsing Up

Ahh Saison. This Belgian Farmhouse style of ale is a crisp, spicy, refreshing beer and one of our personal favorites anytime of the year. The Blank Slate version takes the Saison style and twists it up a bit. The addition of Rye Malt accentuates the peppery phenols that this special yeast is known to produce as well as adding a little bit of body to the finished beer. On top of that we add two different kinds of peppercorns at two different stages of the brewing process to really take things to the next level. The Belgians don’t really believe in beer styles so hopefully they won’t be mad at this “corruption” of one of their classics.

Ryetopia - Barrel Aged Rye Barley Wine

Ryetopia has been, literally, a year in the making. This beer is the first, of hopefully many, beers that will come from our barrel aging program. Ryetopia was brewed with a generous portion of malted and crystal rye, which lends a spicy complexity to the beer. To balance out the malt flavors, Ryetopia was hopped with Bravo, Apollo, and Cascade hops. Aged in Kentucky bourbon barrels, this is a smooth sipper of a beer that will age well in the years to come. According to HBC Head Brewer Greg Filippi has this to say about the beer.

Ryeway To Heaven

A heavy dose of rye breathes new life into this other-worldly strong ale. Supple spice and barley sweetness strike a balance in the young beer before its enlightenment in Heaven Hill Rye Whiskey barrels. Ethereal waves of dark fruit and vanilla ascend from the depths as the elixir warms while the rye character lends a stunningly silky mouthfeel. Perhaps it’s a doorway to an existential awakening, or maybe it’s just a damned fine beer.

RyRish Dry Irish Stout

Drawing on inspiration from the Emerald Isle this new FSB beer stays true to Irish tradition. Just like those great dry stouts from the homeland, RyRish is dark and roasty with a lean medium body. BUT! Don’t be fooled! This beer packs a powerful flavor punch that is highlighted by a deep rye maltiness…and rest assured…the rye presence is perfectly balanced in it’s spiciness. At the finish, RyRish offers a remarkably light body and smooth mouthfeel. Bottom line: Highly drinkable. Step into the ring or belly up to the bar. You can easily go a couple rounds with this classic dry stout.

Ryrish Stout

As the name eludes, this Irish-style stout is made with rye. The roasted rye grains create a dryness and subtle spiciness, with hints of black pepper. There is also an subtle earthy flavor that results from the use of rye. Flaked rye adds to the beer’s creaminess. Overtones of bittersweet chocolate linger from the addition of toasted malt. Unlike traditional Irish-style stouts, the Ryrish Stout is made with an English yeast that provides a subtle fruity profile.

S'more Porter

S’more Porter is exactly what it sounds like. A graham cracker milk porter with chocolate, cinnamon and vanilla. Heavy amounts of biscuit malt accompanying ACTUAL graham crackers in the mash give this porter a bready sweetness and bits of Hersey Dark Chocolate & Lactose add the signature chocolate notes and thickness of freshly roasted marshmallows. Add a little bit of smoke malt to for that “by the campfire” feel and finish with vanilla and you have yourself one tasty NoDable brew!

S’more Stout is a complex stout brewed with graham cracker, milk chocolate, marshmallow, and smoked malt. The rich hearty sensations each take their turn, starting with the subtle graham aromas, and leading pleasantly into the sweet flavors of marshmallow cream and milk chocolate.
