Supper Club

"Harking back to an era where Supper Clubs were In Vogue and Wisconsin had numerous regional breweries making their version of American Style Lagers. You know, back when these types of beers exhibited regional soul. And many of these beers were enjoyed during an evening spent at a local Supper Club, visiting with friends and family and having a good dinner. Supper Club is an eminently drinkable version of a true American Lager. Featuring a greater depth of refreshing malt character than the mass marketed versions of the style, Supper Club is clean yet satisfying. Classic Wisconsin Lager at it's finest."

Suprema Ratio

Having tasted many single hop IPA laden malti caramels and little grace I decided it was time to venture into this challenge. The idea, however, was to start from two different postulates: on the one hand as I wanted a beer session (i.e. a low alcohol beer), on the other hand I wanted to use a single malt type that would never had to change from one beer to another. As malt I chose the Prince of floor malt English: the Maris Otter, from fantastic note, fragrant and tasty bread. There is no need for tricks when you want to be talked about only raw materials, then a single malt (the Maris Otter in fact), a single yeast (US-05, widespread wings and strain rather neutral) and of course a single hops. This beer will always be produced in limited quantities and will be available only seasonally, every time we use a variety of different hops. The Supreme name Ratio signifies the Supreme Law of the IPA, the summa ratio from which descends every thing.

Svyturys Ekstra

Svyturys Ekstra is treasured by European beer drinkers for its transparent golden color and natural, perfect thick white head. Made from a combination of fresh malt, rice, bitter and aromatic hops, beer yeast and fresh water, this lager has an intense aroma of hops and rich long lasting taste that is empowered by slight bitterness. Judges of the most prestigious competitions – the World Beer Cup and the World Beer Championship – awarded it with gold and silver medals in 2000 and 2001 respectively. In a competition organized by the Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists, this beer was recognized as the product of the year two years in a row. Ekstra beer was created as the flagship of the Svyturys beer brand, which first appeared in 1995. Ekstra is the only beer in the world brewed by a woman. She believes beer making to be a collaborative process. Traditionally at Svyturys, when a new type of beer is being developed, all employees of the brewery take part in the process. Every trial brew is tested and tasted by all employees. It may be a lot of work, but no one at the brewery seems to be complaining.

Sweet Child of Vine

Move over grapes. We’re celebrating the world’s most glorious vine.Generous quantities of Simcoe and Glacier hops are added throughout the boil. Then, late in fermentation, we infuse the Sweet Child with another dose of Glaciers, imparting a bouquet of hop aroma that veritably bursts forth upon serving. But don’t let all this talk of hops mislead you. The Sweet Child has a serious malt backbone to stand up to all those hops, creating a delightful balance that will keep you coming back for more. Sweet Georgia Brown

Sweet Georgia Brown was created to Fodvarmeriets tent at the jazz festival in Aarhus, summer 2009. There was a request from Mike Wilson (Cockney Pub) which asked for a dark, rich beer with that name. It is brewed and fermented inspired by the English brown ales, but are fermented. The resulting beer of 5.5% is dark, rich and with a slight sweetness that clothes bitterness from the dark malts and the English aromahumler.

Switchback Ale

Using only traditional ingredients, Switchback Ale is a reddish-amber ale which is particularly well-balanced, allowing for complexity of flavor coupled with an unusually smooth and refreshing character. Five different malts, select hop varieties, and our own specially cultivated yeast create an ale which leads with hop flavors and a subtle impression of fruit (our yeast’s contribution), followed by a palate pleasing malty finish. Our own special process uses the yeast to naturally carbonate the beer, and we leave it unfiltered. The result is a satisfying brew full of flavor with a remarkably clean and smooth finish.

Sympathy for the Lager

At Karbach Brewing Co. we believe the lager has been unfairly treated in the world of craft beer. Decades of giant corporations producing watered down versions of "Light Lager" has made the beer connessieur wary of the style. Sympathy for the Lager is an ode to bottom-fermented beers which can have just as much character as their top-fermented counterparts. Brewed with a blend of pale malts and generous amounts of German noble hops, Sympathy for the Lager captures the best of both worlds: the clean, refreshing character of a Lager and the huge taste that craft beer drinkers deserve.

Tafelbier

While most savvy beer consumers have heard of Belgian Dubbels, Tripels and Quadruples, few have ever had a Belgian-style Enkel, meaning “Single”. This is an ale rarely, if ever, brewed on the West Coast, let alone America. Typically, Tafelbier (Table Beer) is brewed only at Trappist Monasteries for the monks to enjoy with meals. They often drink only half a bottle with lunch and the rest with supper, despite the beer’s low alcohol content. Our Tafelbier is modest in strength, robed in warm, golden hues and soft on the palate with a smooth, dry finish.
