This is a beer lover’s beer. Anarchist Amber Ale is a full bodied hand-crafted ale that is a generous combination of carefully roasted malted barley balanced with three Northwest hop varieties. Patient and watchful conditioning results in a harmony of hop and malt.

Anchor Steam® Beer owes its deep amber color, thick, creamy head, and rich, distinctive flavor to a brewing process like none other. It is a process that combines deep respect for brewing tradition with many decades of evolution to arrive at a unique approach: a blend of pale and caramel malts, fermentation with lager yeast at warmer ale temperatures in shallow open-air fermenters, and gentle carbonation in our cellars through an all-natural process called kräusening. Anchor Steam® Beer derives its unusual name from the 19th century when “steam” was a nickname for beer brewed on the West Coast of America under primitive conditions and without ice. While the origin of the name remains shrouded in mystery, it likely relates to the original practice of fermenting the beer on San Francisco’s rooftops in a cool climate. In lieu of ice, the foggy night air naturally cooled the fermenting beer, creating steam off the warm open pans. Once a nickname for any West Coast beer brewed under these conditions, today the name “steam” is a trademark of Anchor Brewing and applies only to the singular process and taste of our flagship brand - San Francisco’s original Anchor Steam® Beer. Bringing forth the sweet essence of the bees, this pilsner style ale is well-balanced, refreshing, crisp and smooth. Enjoy this to celebrate all the goodness that is provided for us and dance like a Gnome of old. A lingering sweetness finishes this ale for after meals or with seafood dishes. Made with local Catamount Honey.

Andygator, a creature of the swamp, is a unique high-gravity brew made with pale malt, German lager yeast, and German Perle hops. Unlike other high-gravity brews, Andygator is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8% by volume, it is a Helles Dopplebock. You might find it goes well with fried foods. It pairs well with just about anything made with crawfish. Some like it with a robust sandwich! Andygator also is a good aperitif and easily pairs with gorgonzola and creamy blue cheeses. Because of the high alcohol content, be cautious---sip it for the most enjoyment.

Black IPA

A low gravity, Amber Ale focusing on hops rather than malt contribution. Simcoe and Cascade make up the Hop Bill on this brew.

Inspired by the once popular indigenous style from Kentucky, this beer is made with American malts, flaked rice, and rye. Chocolate and Caramel malts give color and flavor to this clean, refreshing Dark Cream Ale

This beer is a good example of what happens when old mother nature gets mad. Angry Planet is made with organic American 2-row, C60 and Munich malts. Featuring Cascade hops and a large dry hop addition, together create an aroma of citrus and light toast and carries a nice flavorful punch of citrus hop that is balanced by a slight caramel sweetness which plays off on the hop's bitterness. Angry Planet pairs well with yak momo, pizza & pad thai as well as burgers and brats off the grill.

Ahoy there, matey! Cleverly combining the goatee, chinstrap and handlebar mustache to brilliantly resemble an anchor, the ‘Anchor Beard’ was made to hold you down to the barstool while you enjoy this delicious foamy one-eyed amber ale! ARRRHGGG!

Annabel Lee White. A Belgian style "wit" (white) beer that is meant for to cool you off in the hot weather. (or any other time). Light effervescent, refreshing and slightly sour. Refreshing with slight citrus, coriander & sour orange peel notes.

How about trying a glass of traditional Irish stout. Our stout however is not particularly dry and has overtones of dark chocolate and toffee. The infused nitrogen gives a wonderful cascading effect in the glass and a rich, creamy head. Particularly tasty when paired with our oysters on the half shell.

Copper to almost Ruby in coloring, this medium-bodied Amber ale is as assertive as it is sweet. Both the aroma and flavor have a strong hop presence, balanced nicely by the caramel, nutty flavor from the malt. With its crisp, dry start, the light, caramel sweetness to the finish is a nice surprise, and make it a perfect session beer. Medals: SILVER - World Beer Championships, 2009, 2011

This IPA was first created in honor of our second decade as a brewer and purveyor of the finest beers in the world. This limited release, over-the-top brew is loaded with excessive amounts of malts to balance 20 separate additions of the finest Pacific Northwest hops to create what the late William Brand described as “The kind of beer that made California craft beer famous”. As with all of our products, Anniversary Imperial IPA is never sterile filtered nor heat pasteurized, and should be stored in refrigeration. However, to fully enjoy its rich and complex flavor, it should be served between 44° and 50°F

This beer is a bold Rye India Pale Ale with an added spiciness from a healthy addition of rye malt. The rye also contributes a nice red hue to the beer. Despite being heavily hopped during the boil, we add a generous amount of hops during the end of fermentation to give this beer a pronounced citrus hop aroma and flavor.

An 1840?s American recipe using water, yeast, molasses, ginger and spruce tips. The ingredients from the historical drink have been adapted into a flavorful modern day beer incorporating malt and hops.

Emerging as the first of the Blue Hills Anti-Matter single malt series is a Pale Ale made with 2-row malt and Amarillo hops. Destined to be a favorite of session beer fanatics the pale ale is moderately hipped in 15 minute increments during the biol resulting in the reserved yet undeniable flowery nose and spicy finish for which Amarillo hops are known.
