Morganton in Western North Carolina, today home of the Fonta Flora Brewery led by its creative mastermind Todd Boera, who gives emphasis to using local Appalachian ingredients in his beers whenever possible. Todd’s vision that ”fermentation is yet another medium for creating art” is much more than just a phrase, it’s the actual ideology behind the brewery. However, what few people outside the US know, is that this area plays an important role in American history. 500 years ago it was a proud mainstay of several native American chiefdoms. Joara being one of them, neigbouring Cofitachequi being another. This beer is named after the mythical chieftainness “The Lady of Cofitachequi” who is believed to be one of few – if not the only – female native American rulers. Taken prisoner by invading Spanish conquistadores, on an insatiable hunt for gold, this proud lady managed to escape and rejoin with her people. The invaders built several forts in an attempt to control the area, only to see them all destroyed and burned down by local warriors months later. Only one out of 120 Spaniards is said to have survived. The defeat effectively ended all Spanish attempts to colonize the area. The Lady and her fellow chieftains were again rulers of their own land.

Brewed with German-grown barley malted by our friends at Epiphany Craft Malt. This Helles-style lager is reminiscent of the beers served in Bavaria at modern-day Oktoberfest celebrations. Prost!

Ginger lime cream ale.

A nod to the German Festbier, this fresh pale lager has a strong malt backbone and a clean finish. It's the perfect beer to welcome the change of the seasons and anticipate harvest time.

Pale hopped with Citra, Ekuanot & Victoria Secret

Pro season rolls on to the first grand tour of the year, the Giro d’italia, our pink farmhouse Saison celebrates the Maglia Rosa, the jersey worn by the leader of the race. The Pope of Dope (Michele Ferrari) was one of the most famous sports doctors in history for the administration and trafficking of prohibited substances, shame all of his clients didn’t get life time bans too! Brewed with a classic base of Pilsner and Wheat malts, Hibiscus and Lemons a plenty, refreshingly pink in colour and highly carbonated with berry rich flavours and a smooth spicy lemon tartness for a refreshing clean light finish.

When my grandfather was a young man, he was known as "the wolf of the bay". Later in life, he aptly named his boat “The Bay Wolf” where I learned to respect the water from a legendary bayman. This beer is a tribute to my Pop Pop, Albertus “Toots” Clark Jr. Bay Wolf is a hoppy, approachable Honey IPA dry hopped with Styrian Golding and Amarillo hops. The huge late addition of Connecticut honey from Full Bloom Apiaries further enhances the floral character. Galena, Cascade and Citra were also heavily used to round out the hop profile. A pinch of sea salt is a tip of the hat to the bay itself, to connect this brew back to the sea that has provided for my family

This grown up fruit salad is as colourful as the most hideous Hawaiian shirt you’ve ever seen. It’s super juicy and crammed full of fruity hop flavours that will have your mouth watering. Imagine sitting by the pool in the blazing sun with a cocktail in one hand, but instead of a dainty little glass it’s served by the pint! Packed full of American hops, amplified by Peach, Passionfruit, Pineapple and Mango flavours!

Extra Pale Ale

Hausterhosen Festbier is a light and malty Märzen style beer. Light amber in color with minimal bitterness from noble German hops, its slightly sweet and toasty maltiness gives way to a subtle smoky finish from a pinch of mesquite smoked malt. Skål! Or Pröst! Whatever, just enjoy this very drinkable Fest Beer!

Collaboration with Green Flash-Juicy pale ale hopped intensely with Citra, Mosaic, and El Dorado
