Blonde

Crowned with a fluffy, white head and graced with a fruity, spicy, citrusy aroma, Dageraad Blonde is the pride of our brewery. A closer inspection reveals a note of nutty pilsner malt, whiff of noble hops, faint note of caramelized sugar and—when the beer warms—a sweet, floral breath of alcohol. And all that before you’ve tasted it. This beer was inspired by Belgium’s incredible variety of strong, blonde ales, ranging from semi-sweet to bone-dry, that offer a huge range of fruit, hop and spice flavours. Dageraad Blonde gets its depth and complexity of flavour from European hops, spices and our house yeast. Dageraad Blonde is fermented with Belgian yeast and bottle conditioned for natural carbonation, and an extra layer of complexity. Pour with care to leave the yeast sediment in the bottle.

Classic City Lager

For this beer, we wanted to design a simple lager that was light in ABV but still very delicious and present on the palate. A delicate balance has been struck between the malts and German hops, leaving the impression of white bread, pepper, and nice noble hop character. These flavors are wrapped up in a dry, crisp package with a pleasant mouthfeel which all in all makes for a highly drinkable beer. Classic City Lager is the perfect companion to a day by the pool, a night out in Normaltown, a show at the 40 Watt, a round of disc golf, or a porch on Boulevard. It has just enough of everything in an extremely clean presentation to make it a great sessionable lager. It’s beautiful, balanced, and immediately classic. For the time being, this beer will be available in Athens, GA only.

Cranberry-Quince Berliner Weisse

nfluential beer author the late Michael Jackson describes “Berlin White Beer” as having an “insistent sparkle, a fragrant fruitiness in the nose, a sharp, dry palate, and a frisson of quenching, sour acidity in the finish.” The third offering in our spontaneously soured seasonal Berliner Weisse series, North Coast Brewing Cranberry-Quince Berliner Weisse is made with the juice of Oregon cranberries and the pear-like quince—the perfect accompaniment for all your autumn celebrations!

Dérailleur

Part of our Ingenuity Series of Barrel-aged Inventions, Dérailleur®” bière-de-garde (“beer for keeping”) is a deep golden ale brewed to celebrate the global passion for cycling, and named after a bicycle’s gear-changing mechanism invented by a French cycling enthusiast in 1905. This ale is malty and rustic, with a spicy yeast character. Subtle flavors of French oak were derived from ageing in Rhône varietal Mourvèdre wine barrels over one year. This release is a blend of vintages; the older barrels provide mild acidity and the yearling contributes the oak and rustic, bready malt character. The resulting blend is an excellent example of a truly French farmhouse-style cellar creation. (2016 Silver Medal, San Diego International Beer Festival; 2016 Silver Medal, California State Fair)

Flamberge

This special ale is styled after the beloved Flemish Red ales of Belgium. A long-anticipated release from Ladyface’s “Ingenuity Series of Barrel-aged Inventions,” this ale was aged two years in Napa Cabernet barrels. Flamberge --meaning "flame blade”--is an undulating long sword; our red-hued, barrel-aged invention is a complex sour ale with tannic and sharply tart sensations that ripple across the palette. A high carbonation level yields a dry effervescence and makes this style a traditional pairing companion to the Belgian classic dish, Carbonnade de Bœuf. It is also a perfect ale to slice through a creamy cheesecake!

Gardiens de la Galaxie

This French-style ale presents aromas of lightly toasted malts, the distinctive spicy fruit esters of farmhouse yeast, and very subtle hops. It is deep gold in color and medium bodied with light malt sweetness, finishing dry to quench a farmer’s thirst. Each year, Ladyface offers a local homebrewer the opportunity to enter the GABF Pro-Am category. The Best of Show winner at the Maltose Falcons’ Mayfaire Homebrew Competition brews their winning beer at Ladyface. This recipe comes to us from Nick Corona (Home)Brewing. James Squire Four 'Wives' Pilsner

With its floral and herbaceous aroma, deep gold colour and spicy palate, the James Squire Four ‘Wives’ Pilsener is an alluring craft beer that gives way to a longer bitterness (no jokes about marriage here, we promise). Strong, bold and with more hopping than most lagers, it is similar to Pilsener Urquell or Beck’s. Unlike many European beers, though, Four ‘Wives’ is just as at home accompanying spiced seafood or a Thai stir-fry as it is with hearty Italian or, to get in the Oktoberfest spirit, German sausage. With his rather bohemian approach to women in general and commitment in particular, James Squire was one of a kind. And with its Bohemian flavours, the Four ‘Wives’ Pilsener he’s inspired is equally unforgettable.

Köld Schauer

This is a classic Kölsch with an exclusive twist — growers at Hopfengut in Germany recently released the Huell Melon hop strain, with the clean bittering qualities of noble hop strains, but an elusive “honey-dew melon” aroma. So for Köld Schauer think easy-drinking, low bitterness, with a unique perfume. Those pilgrimages we’ve been taking to German hop fields are paying dividends…
