Damn, It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta!

Heavy in Roast, Chocolate, and Special B malts this beer comes off with a unique and unexpectedly dry profile. Combining two Brettas lends a milder barnyard, but heavily funky character accented by an apparent 'natural cork' flavor. Aging the beer on French oak Barrels and allowing it to properly develop, attenuation is high revealing a light body and notes of astringency. Balance is created by the addition of three special golden ingredients: Honey, Golden Raisins, and Mustard Seed.

Damon (1993-2004) The time spent with loved ones, now lost, seems to affect our mind and body perpetually: memories happen upon us, unsuspectingly, and bring about tears of fond remembrance. Damon was our brother – devout and patient in an age of busyness and distraction. In his honor, we crafted and conditioned this Imperial Stout in bourbon barrels from our favorite distillery. We still reflect, daily, upon our Damon and his scruffy chin of grey – of his loyalty and his love. Aged in Blanton's bourbon barrels.

The P could stand for Perfect: perfectly befitting a warm respite in front of a fire on a cold February night – but we don’t say chit like that. You’ll probably just drink this Belgian Quad like a session beer and hope for the best in the morning anyway, so screw it. Maybe the P stands for your favorite Pub, the place where you go to hang out, drink killer beer and enjoy life. Yup, that’s the one. The Quad part, well it’s a style for sure, but it could be in reference to a collaboration between a Pub and a Brewhouse that opened in the same year out of friendships and a love for great beer. Yeah, those four things are in here too.

There is so much fun involved in creating Dark Horizon. Once it ferments, everyone in the brewery are very enthusiastic and pay close attention. Is the yeast still active? Is everything OK? How does the flavours evolve? Dark Horizon is normally dark and velvety. Muscovado sugars provides good fruity aromas. The coffee is a chapter on its own. The green beans will first be treated alfa amylase, an enzyme brewers enjoy working with. Then we mash the green beans before drying and roasting them. This gives it the unique flavor Dark Horizon deserves. Share Dark Horizon with someone you think deserves it.
