The Name sort of says it all. John Maier, our Brewmaster, wanted to create a beer that defied traditional style definitions. The result was a remarkably hoppy yet balanced and malty ale that quickly became a cult classic in our Newport brewpub. But what was it? It was not quite a barley wine and not quite a double or imperial IPA. Who really cares about putting beers into narrow categories? Great beer is great beer - just drink it and enjoy!

This is a hazy IPA made in the New England style. Full and juicy, the Citra and Mosaic hops impart a fruity, luscious aroma and flavor. Low in bitterness and full of flavor.

We took our refreshing gluten-free beer, New Grist Pilsner, and brewed it with fresh ginger for a zesty, thirst-quenching flavor: introducing New Grist Ginger. This beer pours light gold with a rocky white head kicking out aromas of ginger and malted sorghum. The spicy-sweet ginger greets the palate first, before moving into the familiar flavor of New Grist: tangy green apple, light body, and crisp, refreshing finish. Overall, New Grist Ginger is a flavorful, easy-drinking, session beer with a snappy ginger punch. New Grist Ginger goes great with any variety of ginger-infused Asian dishes, like the sweeter broth of chicken Saigon pho, mild-to-spicy Thai gai pad king, or the spicy citrus notes of chana masala.

New Growth Pale Ale celebrates the return of locally crafted beer brewed with regionally harvested ingredients. Driftwood Brewery and Sartori Cedar Ranch have combined their savvy to craft a decidedly British Columbian pale ale. Sartori’s Centennial and Newport hops shine through in this refreshing session ale. Cheers!

This medium-brown ale is a low alcohol, moderately bitter brown ale. A variety of sweet dark malts are harmoniously blended with 2-row and Pils malts and a conservative hop schedule to deliver a deliciously refreshing and sessionable brown ale.

An extra pale wheat ale bringing together a old school beer style with new school hops. Designed to be hop forward with a balanced bitterness; showcasing the Equinox, Galaxy, and Lemon Drop hops. Tons of tropical and citrus hop flavors and aromas shine through the the 60% pale and 40% wheat malt bill.

Our Black IPA is heavily hopped with Centennial, Chinook, and Simcoe. There's a citrus edge to the aroma followed by big pine character. The beer finishes with mild coffee and roast notes assuring you that the color is no mere gimmick.

Our flagship IPA aged in a new lightly toasted American oak barrel for an epic barrel character, then blended 1:3 with fresh, hoppy Racer 5 IPA.

If you like dark chocolate, you’ll love this robust American stout. Chewy and Chocolaty and not only perfect for the winter but all year long for the dark beer lovers.

New Sun is a 5.6% traditional, crisp, effervescent Saison with spelt and wheat. Fermented with a blend of two expressive yeast strains. Our first ever beer on the 3BBL pilot system is a rustic saison with wheat and spelt. Inspired by traditional producers like Saison Dupont, Thiriez, Blaugies, and even Fantome. Bright, floral, crisp, effervescent, and perfect for summer.

Citrusy, light bodied, and incredibly quenching. No hops are used in the kettle for this beer, instead we use a little acid malt for balance and a big dose of Citra hops to get the citrus notes.

Inspired by classic Old World farmhouse ales, balanced by the bright character and nuances of New World hops, this golden dry-hopped saison features Wakatu, Equinox, and Comet hops.

A descendent of October beer, India Pale Ale is now one of the most popular styles in the world. Most famously brewed in the 1700s by Hodgson's Bow Brewery in London and exported to India by the East India Company. This beer has been through a 300 year evolution. New World IPA uses a combination of US, Australian and British hop varieties and is inspired by the hop ratios and techniques originally used. This hoppy English IPA is brewed with British pale malts and five hop varieties. It has a sweet malt forefront, solid bitterness and citrus with tropical and grapefruit notes coming from our generous late copper and dry hop additions.

A traditional black porter, with a surprise twist - it's dry-hopped!! We've expanded the porter category a bit, adding a delightful, dry hop aroma to blend with the sweet caramel and chocolate characteristics of a Robust Porter.

When the weather outside gets frightful, beer gets stronger, and while every brewery seems to have a winter seasonal, every brewery and their brother seems to have a Christmas beer. Meanwhile, everyone’s favorite, debaucherous follow-up to Christmas is left out in the craft beer cold, so to speak. So what better way to honor that reset button of holidays, and buck the Christmas beer trend, than to brew a beer for New Year’s Eve? Ours is a massive doppelbock, loaded with malt sweetness and deep dark fruit notes, and sporting a hot 10% ABV.
