This beer was brewed to commemorate the Grand Opening of the Hangar 24 Patio/Beer Garden on January 15th 2011. The idea for Patio Beer came from our love of big hop flavors and sitting out in the sun with friends enjoying a few beers. The use of large amounts of late-addition and dry hops plus the low ABV of 4% make this beer just perfect. This beer contains four types of hops, with the real flavor and aroma coming from the Centennial, Chinook & Citra additions. Normally, a light, crisp, refreshing beer like this is usually reserved for the warmer months of summer. Luckily, we can enjoy beautiful weather and this beer in the months of January and February. (Plus, that’s when the Patio was finished).

he Red Irish Ale is slightly malty in the balance with initial soft toffee/caramel sweetness, a slightly grainy-biscuit palate, with just a touch of roasted dryness in the finish. The beer is fermented with an American West Coast strain which provides a nice clean finish to the profile with complementary esters. Willamette hops provide a mild floral aroma.

PATRICK is a red ale brewed in honor of Patrick Tillman, the Arizona Cardinal, who lost his life serving his country. This beer has a lovely red color, with an aroma that is hoppy and sweet. Brewed with Glacier and Vanguard hops, its sweet caramel palate gets swept aside as hop flavor takes over thanks to a healthy dry hopping. The Patrick finishes with a dry mouthfeel, so you will be ready for another glass.

A low gravity session beer that we playfully referred to as our breakfast beer. A dark malty beer with a light but complex flavor, similar in flavor to a brown porter but you can drink it all night without feeling it in the morning. English milds in particular are best served fresh, so if you have tried this style in a bottle and it wasn’t to your likening, give it another shot.

Patriot Porter is based on the traditional American Porters of the 1700’s, the distinctive color and flavor are developed by combining slowly kilned pale, amber, and brown malt. Mashing these grains renders delicious bready and burnt brownie notes, and a dash of Molasses contributes to the rich full flavor.

An American style pale ale that delivers a great hop profile while delivering a nice balance of caramel malt backbone. Our citrus and floral hop overtone derived from cascade, centennial, and citra hops give this a wonderfully light hop aroma and a smooth crisp bitterness.

Bold and roasty, yet surprisingly light bodied.

Brewed with malted wheat, honey malt, and aromatic malt from Europe, along with authentic English-style hops. Medium-bodied, creamy, and semi-sweet, this Cream Ale is truly refreshing.

The legend of Paul Bunyan continues to be told throughout North America. With his giant ax and brute strength the fable of Paul Bunyan is true to the North American logger. Paul's beer is hoppy and bold, with a smooth and clean finish.

Ever since 1818 we have brewed our bottom-fermented Oktoberfest Bier during Oktoberfest – Germany’s favourite Oktoberfest beer and a true institution in Munich. The glass is full of October sunshine, strong and golden. The perfect balance of a light taste of hops and a strong note of malt. A feast of a beer, which always goes down well. This beer is only brewed for the Oktoberfest. That’s where it belongs, along with all the fun of the fair like the Ferris wheel and roasted almonds. The fact that we can brew this beer every year for the Oktoberfest is an honour and a pleasure. We belong to the 6 breweries, which have the exclusive permission to supply their beer at the largest folk festival in the world where we serve over a million litres in our beer tents – brought to your table by waitresses who easily carry ten 1 litre beer mugs (Mass) at once. A distinguishing feature from other festival beers is the particular harmony of balance between the sweeter taste of malt and that of the hops. The initial mild taste followed by a stronger note, invites you to take a second taste. By tradition it is also slightly stronger than a normal Lager, but the high grade of fermentation makes it particularly easy to drink. Friends of a good beer like to take the time to savour their beer, ideally with a typical beer tent snack like smoked mackerel or radish with bread and chives and mini meatballs.

Brewed once a year, and only available while supplies last, Oktoberfest Wiesn is the pinnacle of German brewing: deep golden color, full-bodied and wonderfully mellow, with a balanced harmonious taste and the pleasant fragrance of hops. At 6% ABV, it is stronger and bolder that the usual lager.

Tangy cranberry & honey mead with the snap of lime juice on the finish.

Paulina Lake Pilsner is a classic German-Style Pilsner. The liquid is light straw in color and well hopped with European noble hops. Fermenting to a low final gravity leads to a beer with few residual sugars creating a dry crisp lager with higher hop bitterness and aroma than your typical American Lager. Prost!

Sour beer. Nerd's Reserve is what we call our one-off series, brewed and released when we have space in the brewing schedule. They are draft only, with a small amount of bottles available for purchase at the brewery. Sean, Jake, and Barrett take turns formulating, brewing and naming the beer.

The paw paw fruit, the tropical tree fruit and native fruit of Ohio, is something we take great pride in. Paw paw trees flourish in Athens’ temperate climate and produce a one-of-a-kind experience in our beer. Flavors of mango, banana, and a touch of melon. In 2003, our good friend Kelly Sauber brewed the first paw paw beer utilizing locally harvested paw paw fruit from Integration Acres. We are now very proud to bring Paw Paw Wheat back and to you all!

Asiminia triloba, or Pawpaw, is the largest fruit bearing plant native to North America. Due to the lack of commercial cultivation and the quick perishable nature of the fruit, this highly prized forageable finds its way into regional dishes throughout the United States. Although known by many names, we proudly incorporated the Indiana Banana into our family of sour ales. This golden sour ale was created by aging Sour Reserve on fresh Pawpaw fruit from Indiana. Expect a flavor of soft tropical fruits with mild lactic acid tanginess.

Paxton's ESB is a traditional British style bitter with Fuggle Hops, one of the noble British varities. The hops are added to the boil three different times to impart bitterness, flavor and aroma. We also used 1.5 pounds of dark brown sugar in keeping with the British tradition of adding fermentable sugar to their "Extra Special Bitter." O.G. 1.056, Alcohol 4.25% by Wt.
